Matters arising within the city go to the City Civil and Sessions Court at Bhadra and the Metropolitan Magistrates’ Courts, which are allotted by police station area. Matters from the rest of Ahmedabad district go to the District Court, Ahmedabad (Rural). Choosing the right one depends on where the offence, the property or the transaction is located.

Ahmedabad matters handled from Vadodara

Clients often come from Ahmedabad because a case has been filed there against them, because a cheque was presented at an Ahmedabad bank branch, or because the other side of a family dispute lives there. The first meeting takes place at the Vadodara office by appointment, and hearings are attended in Ahmedabad.
